Enjoy a Prêt-à-Portea Masterclass with a legendary pastry chef at London’s most elegant hotel

Head Pastry Chef Mourad Khiat is the man behind the beloved Berkeley afternoon tea experience in the heart of London’s Knightsbridge. His masterclass, created in the wake of the publication of his recipe book 'Prêt-à-Portea, High-Fashion Bakes & Biscuits', offers the chance for baking aficionados to perfect their own Prêt-à-Portea skills. During the two-hour class guests can create a trio of Prêt-à-Portea favourites: Jason Wu cherry mousse, Manolo Blahnik stiletto biscuits and Moschino sponge handbags. Enjoy champagne and afternoon tea in the Collins Room following the session before receiving a special ‘Shoe Chef’ embroidered apron and a signed copy of Chef Khiat’s book. Delicate, delightful and utterly delicious, The Berkeley is where high fashion and high flavour flawlessly fuse together.

About

Within its breathtaking collection of rooms and suites – which are amongst the most spacious in London – the hotel has many with private garden terraces and quiet balconies. All the rooms and suites skilfully combine comfort, stylish design and the latest innovations to meet the needs of the modern traveller. Marcus Wareing offers two Michelin-starred dining at his eponymous restaurant, Marcus; the stars come out for award-winning cocktails at the Blue Bar; and fashionistas join us for Prêt-à-Portea, the catwalk-inspired afternoon tea served in the beautiful Collins Room. On the seventh floor of The Berkeley, the pool, secret garden and Bamford Haybarn Spa provide a calm retreat with views over the London skyline. The Berkeley is located at the edge of Hyde Park in fashionable Knightsbridge, just a short walk from Harrods and Harvey Nichols. Behind the hotel sits the residential area of Belgravia: a charming enclave of Georgian terraces, cobblestone streets, independent shops and traditional pubs, which conveys the feeling of an English village.

The Berkeley is a member of FINE HOTELS & RESORTS.
