Tanjong Beach Club

Stylish beachside hang-out on Sentosa Island

Located on Sentosa Island’s prettiest strand, this 1950s-style complex exudes a laid-back, Californian vibe with its nautical tiles, lofty ceilings and clean timber walls. There’s a 20m pool, but sunsets are best caught on one of the beachside daybeds, preferably sipping a Tanjong Martini (vodka with lemongrass syrup and lychee juice). In the Dining Room eatery, chef Craig Schantz produces sophisticated takes on classic comfort food: corn chowder is studded with Hokkaido scallops, while flaky pastry and chunks of Maine lobster form a hearty pot pie. It’s best to avoid heading here early on a Sunday morning – the place is often still in clean-up mode following the previous night’s frivolities.
