Piscine delights in a spirited venue

Top chef Gökay Çakıroğlu cooked up a storm at Tapasuma when it opened on the banks of the mighty Bosphorus in the suburb of Çengelköy. Housed in the 19th-century Ottoman distillery that became the chic Sumahan on the Water hotel, gourmands indulge in Mediterranean-Turkish fusion dishes that are creating a genre of their own. Seasonal fish dishes are a speciality, while, given the location’s former occupation, trying the raki is a must.
