Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi

Ultra-chic futurism which won’t leave you feeling too alien

Set half on land and half on water, the Yas Viceroy looks like it might just be about to take off for the solar system beyond when the vibrant LED light show transforms the structure into a throbbing space ship of an evening. Built over a Formula One track, the rooms here are in hot demand as you’d expect during the races. Sadly the noise levels don’t stop at the finishing line though as the hotel is directly below the international flight path. The roof of sweeping glass and steel lies above a superb in house spa and the nearby golf course and half a dozen different dining options in house only enhance the feeling of being on a different planetary orbit where the air supply is half oxygen, half pure sybaritism.
