Hotel Eden

A marquee venue blending Roman classicism with modern home comforts

Following its Dorchester Collection-driven refurbishment, the eternal city’s iconic Hotel Eden is back with a downsized offering of 98 enlarged guest rooms and suites. The accommodation, with interiors designed by Bruno Moinard and Claire Bétaille of 4BI & Associés, melds the classic Roman style – via Italian furnishings and artwork – with 21st-century advances such as master-controlled lighting and sleek Bang & Olufsen televisions.

The 49-seater La Terrazza eatery, delicately lit and kitted out in locally themed high-gloss varnished wood, facilitates expansive top-floor views of the capital and has introduced the chef’s table, located right in front of the kitchen; while all guests can feast on the seasonal Mediterranean fare in rarefied air.
