The Thompson Madrid

Madrid by Music

The Thompson Madrid’s A Taste of Thompson is an immersive sensory and culinary experience unfolding in multiple acts. First, join a chef-led interactive tortilla cooking demo in the hotel kitchen, learning hands-on techniques and gastronomic traditions of Spain. Next head up to the penthouse for a private flamenco workshop where a dancer leads your group in the rhythms of clapping and castanets. Then enjoy a six-course tasting menu from Chef Nino Redruello and Manuel Villalba, savouring delicious Andalusian flavours and regional wines while soaking up spectacular views over Madrid. Cap off the Iberian-inspired evening at the speakeasy-inspired piano bar Hijos de Tomás featuring cocktails crafted exclusively for the occasion, plus VIP karaoke with friends.

Pl. del Carmen, Centro, 28013 Madrid, Spain

About

Set in a privileged location and boasting a high-level culinary concept, the long-awaited The Thompson Madrid – the first Thompson Hotel in Europe – is now a reality. The property offers 174 rooms, including 22 suites, an exclusive penthouse, a gym and six event spaces on the fourth floor. The mid-20th-century aesthetic, luxurious amenities and carefully curated spaces – including a rooftop terrace and pool – were inspired by the soul of the city and its architecture. The gastronomic project is helmed by the renowned Familia La Ancha restaurant group. Thompson Madrid offers two different gastronomic spaces: The Omar, an all-day bistro and workshop which also hosts daily breakfast, is located at street level and is delighted to receive both guests and visitors; while Hijos de Tomás, a cocktail bar located on the ground floor of the building, offers direct access from Plaza del Carmen.
