Capella Ubud
Individually styled tents camouflaged by dense rainforest

Through 22 individually styled tents, the acclaimed Bill Bensley channels the energy of early European settlers. Blending into the dense rainforest surrounding them, the accommodations, kitted out with private salt-water pool, air conditioning and outdoor bathrooms, deliver a mix of authenticity and comfort. The organic-leaning Auriga Wellness spa is also hidden amid the trees, and the gym offers pulse-quickening activities including cross-country mountain biking. Among four eateries, The Camp Fire is perhaps the most apt: a place to watch marshmallows being cooked by the orange flickers amid the darkness. Opens end of June.
