UXUA Casa Hotel and Spa

An exercise in Trancoso tranquility

This glamorous retreat for Paulistas and Cariocas has become a global phenomenon thanks to its lush jungle casas and wood-themed Bahian-chic décor.

 

Situated comfortably in the Quadrado, Trancoso’s picturesque UNESCO-protected square, Uxua Casa Hotel & Spa is as much a historical site as it is a resort. Half of the resort’s casas date back to the village’s founding 500-years-ago, and contemporary renovations highlight centuries-old traditions with artisanal touches such as furnishings from reclaimed materials and antiques.
