Parkhotel Adler
A wholesome Black Forest chateau
Spread across some four hectares of southwestern Germany, this 56-key boutique hotel and wellness resort has remained with the same family since the 1600s – the large main residence accommodating the majority of guests in cosy, individualised rooms (the historic Black Forest House, which typically accommodates some guests is currently closed until December for renovation works). A dedicated wellness pavilion amid the hotel’s gardens offers 1500sq m of treatments, rituals and rejuvenations. In a recreationally rich area the famed “Adler Ski Jump” is sited nearby, in addition to Titisee and Schluchsee lakes, the Hochschwarzwald golf course, the gothic town of Freiburg and, naturally, the stunning expanse of the Black Forest itself.
