Aristi Mountain Resort and Villas
Open-air treatments at a hikers’ favourite
These lodgings in the hills of rural Greece have long been a stopping point for the throngs of hikers visiting the surrounding villages, but the hotel’s rejuvenating portfolio has never been as good. Set in an enclave offering second-to-none views of the Vikos Gorge and the Astraka mountain peak, Aristi was originally conceived to provide not just a convenient base for climbers, but one that would replenish guests before the trek onwards. Along with the tried and tested remedies such as Balinese massages and reflexology, and eye therapies, the resort recently added an open-air spa experience, in which guests receive a face or body treatment set against the backdrop of – and in the air of – those enchanting Zagori surrounds.
