Capofaro
Wines and wonder on a scene-filled island

The 27 guest rooms at this magnificent wine resort on the Sicilian island of Salina are brimming with Aeolian charm, but the standout is number 21: its oven allows guests to throw private parties with scrumptious fare. An obvious selling point is the 6ha Anfiteatro vineyard of Malvasia plants that surrounds the lodgings, but Capofaro’s restaurant, featuring vegetables grown locally and award-winning sourdough bread, gives it extra gravitas. That’ll be elevated further when the iconic lighthouse welcomes guests in its six forthcoming rooms.
