Amanruya
Elegant village retreat with local touches
Local architecture served as inspiration for this 36-unit retreat, not far from Bodrum in the sparkling Turkish Riviera. Stately four-poster beds, private gardens and heated pools, as well as delightful locally inflected touches like Turkish marble floors or traditional mangal charcoal fireplaces feature in the guest cottages, arranged to resemble the layout of a traditional Turkish village. Cuisine here, too, reflects the region’s eclectic tastes, which ranges from freshly caught seafood to locally grown produce. Healing therapies, including the much-praised Foot Ritual, take place at the spa, a gorgeous space lined with green marble.
