Annandale
Rustic chic at this working sheep station with huge variety of accommodation

A 4,000 acre sheep farm with raw and rewarding views out over the folds and crevices of hills, the range of places to stay on the farm is almost as diverse as the South Island landscape. Take your pick from the cosy Shepherd’s Cottage which sleeps just two, the original Homestead building which sleeps up to twelve or Scrubby Bay which houses fourteen. Our pick of the Annandale collection though is the sublime Seascape; a hideaway for two looking out over cerulean waters. The emphasis here is on being left completely alone so chef Paul Jobin will create meals such as Angus fillet and tomato masala with fried radish cake which he’ll vacuum seal for you to serve whenever you feel.
