Botany
A speakeasy featuring homemade plant-based ingredients, and a few surprises too
After stints at Maison Boulud, Domus and TRB, founder Frankie Zou opened this one-of-a-kind speakeasy with originality at the front and centre. Hidden on the 12th floor of an apartment complex, entrance is permitted only with referrals or a personal appointment with the owner. Here, every detail was thought through and through. Hotel towels the moment you walk through the door, intermittent snacks circling around, small surprises throughout the night: check, check and check. But what really sets Botany apart is the ingredients: from its plant-based bitters and syrups to its garnishes and small bites, everything is homegrown and homemade.
