Bar Luce at Fondazione Prada
Milanese tradition meets Italian pop culture
Designed by film director Wes Anderson who recreates the atmosphere of a typical Milanese cafe, this trendy bar inside the new Fondazione Prada museum boasts numerous good spots for eating, drinking, talking, reading, etc. “I tried to make it a bar I would want to spend my own non-fictional afternoons in,” says the director. The seats, Formica furniture, veneered wood wall panels and the range of colours employed are reminiscent of Italian pop culture and aesthetics from the 1950s and 1960s.
