Aviary NYC
Cocktails and exploding pasta with panoramic views of Central Park

A long-time stalwart on the Chicago bar scene, the original Aviary is a must-visit and now its owners have expanded into the Big Apple. Planted on the five-star Mandarin Oriental’s 35th floor, the 90-seat Aviary NYC twins an “interactive journey” with forward-thinking cocktails and small plates. A standout on the drinks list is the Manhattan breakfast-inspired Wake and Bake, made up of single-barrel rye whiskey, coffee and orange infused into Vermouth. If you’re peckish while trying the cocktails, sample the Thai Pork Belly with young coconut and banana curry, or, for the more adventurous, exploding pasta (ravioli packed with bursting liquefied truffle). From the expansive windows, guests can take in panoramic views of Central Park.
