Artipelag
An ambitious retreat focused on the beauty of art and nature
This venue’s name – a portmanteau of art, activity and its site on the archipelago some 19 kilometres east of Stockholm, is a fitting descriptor of what visitors will find when exploring the venue’s 22ha grounds. Filled with galleries, a concert hall, artist’s studios, two restaurants (popular among the brunch set) and endless, tree-lined footpaths, this project is the brainchild of entrepreneur Björn Jakobson of Baby Björn fame. Opened just three years ago, it has already become mainstay for nature-lovers and the artistic-minded alike, who can also arrive via a scenic boat ride.
