German Michelin dining – with an exotic twist


The Mandala Hotel on Potsdamer Platz is home to the young chef Michael Kempf who has systematically cooked his way to the top with two Michelin stars. The airy, modern ambience of his restaurant makes it an oasis of calm in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the German capital, one all the more pleasant in summer when the glass roof is left open. Kempf’s ingredient-led, contemporary dishes – such as his Müritz char with cider foam, char caviar, roasted leek and leek crème – are a fitting complement to the light and social atmosphere.
