Rossoblu
Bolognese heritage in the heart of LA

There’s real heritage at this City Market South spot, a home for chef Steve Samson’s meaty cuisine inspired by his native Bologna. Plates including the free-range veal chop alla bolognese with prosciutto, parmigiano and wilted spinach or the grilled dry-aged Angus beef ribeye with heirloom beans and mixed salad are served amid an idiosyncratic yet classy dining room emblazoned with striking modern art (the full-wall mural must be savoured). With edgy desserts too, and intriguing cocktails (try the Now or Never), Rossoblu is perhaps the hottest Italian eatery in LA right now.
