The Peninsula Hong Kong
Old world charm at the zenith of comfort and technology
A historic lynchpin in Hong Kong’s luxe lodgings since its creation in the early part of the 20th century, the Peninsula has enjoyed a heady reputation as one of the region’s, if not the world’s, best hotels. Renovated for the property’s 85th anniversary in 2013, some 300 rooms and suites boast simple-to-use tech systems to control the atmosphere, along with 3D televisions and sophisticated sound systems. Elegant, chic décor completes the spacious rooms. The standout feature here, since its addition in the 90s, is the helipad. Not for the journey back and forth from the airport – a pleasant seven-minute ride – but for expeditions across Victoria Harbour and further afield with the Peninsula Academy’s crafted tours.
