Four Seasons Hotel Firenze
A new hotel housed in a historic Renaissance property
A latecomer among the city’s haute hotel bunch, this property, launched in 2008, is stylish player with a lot going for it, including its site, a historic frescoed Renaissance palazzo, as well its its widely praised spa, 4.4 hectares of grounds and the cuisine of chef Vito Mollica at the hotel’s Michelin-starred Il Palagio restaurant. The only problem is that it’s about a 20-minute walk into and out of the centre of town. Sure, there are taxis, but Florence is a walker’s city.
