One of several art-themed hotels by the prolific Ferragamo family, the chic, 74-key Florence property – set in a quiet courtyard near the Arno – heralded the beginning of the boom for similar hotels some 16 years ago. A sleek, modern design by renowned Florentine architect Michele Bönan, slick service as well as a fantastic location near the Ponte Vecchio has ensured it’s stayed in style as the years go by. An Asian-inflected eatery is another major draw, as is the in-house art gallery featuring works by renowned artists the world over.
