Le Grand Bellevue
A veritable Pandora’s Box of surprises await at this highly distinctive getaway unlike anywhere else in the Alps

Synonymous with the Gstaad resort, the castle-like Le Grand Bellevue has seen some (very gentle) winds of change blow through its century old interior recently thanks to Anglo-Swiss owner Daniel Koetser. Creating a melange between rarefied country house of yore and the more urban members clubs of the 21st century, this old timer now boasts rooms with Philippe Starck furniture plus there’s six saunas and steams baths plus an ice grotto which is simply perfect for easing any après-ski strained limbs. A colossal Chesterfield sofa, see-through fireplace and a life size plaid camel in the lobby and bar area create a suitably eccentric yet lovable atmosphere for a hotel which, although still oozing glamour, seems to have let its hair down a tad, no bad thing in this part of the world.
