Thompson Toronto

Both style and substance galore in a retro hip beauty between Chinatown and the waterfront

The first Thompson hotel to open outside of the States delivers as something of a style rival to the Drake with a rooftop pool and bar and a lobby bar serving up artesian cocktails which attracts Toronto’s more moneyed creatives and a perfectly coiffured flock of visiting models and moguls. The floor to ceiling windows in the rooms offer some Instagram worthy views, the rain showers in the bathrooms are wondrously powerful and the in house restaurant ‘Scarpetta’ serves up immaculately composed Italian dishes created by NY chef Scott Conant.
