1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge
Sustainability-driven riverfront rooms
One of a clutch of late-2016 early-2017 openings in a resurgent Brooklyn, 1 Hotels’ flagship property brings something unique to the fray in the brand’s socially and ecologically conscious ethos. Behind its industrial-chic design – stylishly implemented in its 194 rooms and suites – an array of local artisans provided native plants for the myriad green spaces, with cultural programming involving local artists also boosting the hotel’s communally-connected standing. From May 2017 onwards, be sure to check out the rooftop pool and bar – open day and night – which will boast enviable Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline views alongside day beds and fire pits. Farm-to-table cuisine and the finest Brooklyn produce are at the heart of the dining options, exemplified by picnic fare on offer in the ground-floor Neighbors Café.
