Fashion buyer Kelly Withey moved to Cape Town after spending some time studying in Paris, and what she missed most were her favourite foreign labels. And so she opened Maison Mara to share them with chic Capetonian fashionistas in a sumptuous concept shop set in a beautifully restored heritage building in the tony De Waterkant district. Women now while away hours browsing the artfully displayed shelves brimming with Balenciaga, Chloe and Kenzo, and the gleaming white bathroom converted into a showroom for Malin + Goetz products.
