A knack for millinery runs in the Goorin family blood. Their SF-based business, now in its fourth generation, is well known across the country for its bold hats, many of which are still fashioned using vintage equipment and techniques. With their Oriental carpets, ornate mirrors and black-and-white snapshots, each of the family’s three Bay City outposts exude an old-world feel, a fitting backdrop for its classic fedoras and an interesting juxtaposition to its more contemporary cache of flat-billed caps and beanies.
