Introducing NET-A-PORTER’s fascinating new roster of designers

Sponsored by

The new year always heralds a fresh opportunity to finetune your wardrobe with enduring, any-occasion style staples – especially now, with the arrival of five cutting-edge brands to NET-A-PORTER’s artfully curated portfolio fashion essentials.

Each of the new NET-A-PORTER's marques pairs a light-handed avant-garde touch with timeless styles and classic tailoring, making each piece a spectacular addition to a thoughtfully assembled capsule closet. The Byron Bay-based company St. Agni joins the ranks of NET-A-PORTER’s Net Sustain programme, a curated edit of brands committed to environmentally friendly and ethical production. Its “less-is-more” approach ticks all the right boxes, offering anything from a sophisticated blue-grey blazer made with recycled twill, butter-soft lyocell tank tops with a 90s-inspired square neckline to a range of exceptionally comfy (and stylish) suede sandals with moulded footbeds in soft neutral tones.

Another newcomer (and Net Sustain partner) is Bettter, the cutting-edge label by Vogue Ukraine fashion director Julie Pelipas, who worked with upcycled materials to create her line of business-casual pieces. Her pieces – like a cady coat with a uniquely curved hem, a cotton-jersey T-shirt in cotton-candy pink or a sky-blue shirt with a cropped back – are perfect for layering.

Meanwhile, fresh addition Róhe offers a subtly sculptural take on fashion, with all-season collections that impress with revamped wardrobe essentials. A wool-twill full-length coat, for example, is fitted with underarm slits so that it can be worn as a cape, while a sky-blue, silk-twill maxi dress boasts a pretty pussy bow that wraps gracefully around the neck.

Likewise pleasing silhouettes come courtesy of Lemaire, another new NET-A-PORTER marque straight from Paris’s chic Marais district. With plenty of pulse-lowering earth tones and soft, carefully chosen fabrics, each piece is a great addition to a well-chosen capsule wardrobe. Also hailing from the City of Light is newcomer Destree, whose vibrant statement pieces – like a gorgeous denim peplum jacket with delicately puffed sleeves or a red-striped pleated maxi skirt – just ooze French elegance.

The crown jewel of Net-a-Porter’s fresh arrivals may just be an exclusive new colourway – bubblegum pink – of Bottega Veneta’s legendary Getaway bag. Composed of intricately woven intrecciato leather, the beautifully compact handbag can be worn over the shoulder or toted along via its top handles, offering the perfect complement to any outfit.
