Aman Nai Lert Bangkok: A Living Legacy
Aman celebrates a long-awaited return to Thailand

After 37 years, the arrival of a new Bangkok hotel sees Aman come full circle with a return to its homeland. The brand’s first retreat, Amanpuri, which was founded in 1988 on the shores of Phuket and still stands today as the original “place of peace”, now welcomes an urban iteration of its inimitable spirit to the burgeoning Thai capital. Not only a symbol of Aman’s enduring legacy in the region, Aman Nai Lert Bangkok’s opening marks a milestone in CEO and chairman Vlad Doronin’s long-term strategic vision to bring Aman to the world’s greatest cities.
The name pays tribute to Lert Sreshthaputra (Nai Lert), the visionary entrepreneur who shaped modern Bangkok. Located in his namesake park, the hotel breathes fresh life into its setting with a 52-suite hotel, 34 private residences and unparalleled dining and wellness facilities designed by Jean-Michel Gathy. The site was originally acquired in 1915 to build the Nai Lert family home and later opened as Thailand’s first public park. This lush oasis now serves as a catalyst for Aman’s DNA of peace, privacy and exclusivity, following a blueprint established over three decades ago on the shores of the Andaman Sea.
The hotel’s 1,500sq m Aman Spa & Wellness spans two floors and combines 37 years of experience crafting transformative retreats with the serenity of its setting. Here, an unparalleled expression of Aman’s wellness philosophy unfolds, complemented by traditional Thai therapies and innovative Medical Wellness by Hertitude Clinic. Aman Nai Lert Bangkok also introduces a collection of dining venues to Bangkok’s diverse culinary landscape. From intimate omakase and teppanyaki to the atmospheric Aman Lounge punctuated by a towering, century-old sompong (the third tallest tree in the city), the experiences on offer weave together a tapestry of Nai Lert’s heritage with Aman Group’s forward-facing approach.
When visiting Aman Nai Lert Bangkok, guests are invited not just to experience Aman sanctuary in one of the world’s finest urban environments, but to immerse themselves in past and present. As they admire the original Heritage Home, encounter local wildlife or venture further into the city, they too will become part of Aman and Nai Lert’s legacies.
Aman Nai Lert Bangkok is now open, welcoming guests into an oasis of heritage and tranquillity in the heart of the Thai capital.
