The Lockhart
Hogwarts-inspired bar serving inventive libations

The internet almost imploded when word got out about a Harry Potter-themed bar in Toronto. The truth is that, it’s actually a little more subtle and less cheesy than you might expect from such an obvious crowd-pleasing gambit. From the books on the shelves (all by Rowling naturally) to the "potions" (they mean cocktails) there’s an undeniable sense of fun to this place which has attracted Potter fans from as far afield as Texas and Scotland. If you’re a real committed fan you’ll enjoy the subtle references such as the "all was well" neon light (the final line of the final Potter book) but those potions don’t disappoint if you’re just here for libations. Choose from the likes of a “Befuddlement Brew”, a “Shacklebolt” or a “Ludo’s Debt”, soak it all up with a few items from the tapas menu such as deep fried jalapeños or mac and cheese sliders and then, just maybe, go back and start reading the series all over again.
