Umi
Trendy Japanese joint in Camps Bay
The bustling main road in Camps Bay has no shortage of great restaurants and bars, but not all of them come with a perch as enviable as Umi’s. This modern Japanese restaurant opened in late 2013 with the debut of the Marly hotel, and it’s quickly become a go-to spot for impossibly fresh sashimi and sushi while at the beach. Come for an early dinner on the balcony to take in the sunset while grazing on lobster rice-paper rolls, rock-shrimp tempura and eel-and-avocado rolls.
