Gough’s on Gough
British-Asian dining on a noted Hong Kong street

An eatery that stands out on first sight thanks to the lobby’s diver in a fish tank. From there, diners ascend a spiral staircase to the eating space with its equally arresting Art Deco "optical" black and white wall patterns and floor, created by furniture entrepreneur Timothy Oulton. The food, from Arron Rhodes, is – fittingly for its Gough Street setting – a mix of British inspirations and Asian styles, witnessed in standouts the roasted baby potatoes with rosemary, sautéed oyster and shiitake mushrooms with wild mushrooms sauce, the handmade gnocchi with smoked applewood cheddar cheese sauce, pickled potatoes and Angel Farm herbs, and the roast British pork belly. Furthermore, its Moonstone Bar delivers a serious selection of wines and cocktails.
