La Banchina
Appetising seafood at the water’s edge
Copenhagen brims with quirky eating and drinking spots, so perhaps the location – and style – of La Banchina should be no surprise. But it’s difficult not to be taken aback upon seeing the place (a refurbished shack) perched at the edge of hip Refshaleøen, with diners spilling out its doors and along the pier. Chefs Daniel Runge Christensen and Kieran McLaughlin plunder the sea for seasonal catches, while the accompanying natural wines are diligently chosen from small independent producers. There's a wood-fired sauna, too.
