BNM Restaurant
A dining piece de resistance in amid some of Europe’s most famous artwork

This exclusive eatery in the Bavarian National Museum seems to have taken few, if any, design cues from the art that fills the museum halls. Rather than mimicking its oft-ornate artefacts, the restaurant has gone for a pared-down look that, thanks to use of mixed woods and earthy tones, manages a distinct air of elegance. Whether from the tasting menu or à la carte, dishes like sweet corn soup or black-feather hen baked in bread are – both visually and viscerally – cutting-edge, as is the superb wine selection.
