Fine-dining favourite on North Beach
This chic haunt in San Francisco’s North Beach neighbourhood has no shortage of accolades: with three Michelin stars and a slot on the World’s Best Restaurants list, there’s no doubt that the modern seafood fare on offer here is among the country’s best. While acclaimed chef Matthew Kirkley has recently handed over the reins to Erik Anderson, the food here is as praiseworthy as ever, its contemporary dining room serving as a fitting backdrop for dishes such as John Dory with fava beans, dill, caviar and grilled celtuce or grilled pigeon with ramps and pickled cherries.
