Savour soul food
The American South is the culinary inspiration for the fare at this lunch and dinner spot. Traditionally, enslaved African-Americans merged influences from West Africa, Western Europe and North America, utilising whatever was available, primarily corn, rice, peas and pork. The delicious result became known as soul food.

But southern food is often seen as inferior by some – thankfully, this trendy venue proves that to be a falsehood. Try the smoked turkey breast with golden chanterelle, squash and kale. The restaurant doesn’t take many reservations (only two per service for bigger groups), therefore walk-ins are the standard practice.
