Ebisu
Fanciful Japanese fusion in the trendy Britomart precinct
Serving exotically plated Japanese-fusion fare, its easy to see why Ebisu has garnered rave reviews at its Britomart outpost. An industrial-chic space that matches the factory-esque bare-brick façade, dishes such as seared Cambridge duck breast with soy, ginger, pickled nashi pear, shichimi pepper and green tea salt, and spiced ginger and apple doughnuts with bitter chocolate ganache wow both local creatives and out of towners. On the last Monday of each month Ebisu holds an Omakase – a reservation-recommended, chef’s choice nine-course degustation menu with matching sake.
