Trevyn and Julian McGowan’s Southern Guild has done a tremendous job in showcasing South African design talent across the globe. With their curation of the V&A Watershed craft and design market, they’ve attempted to do their part in increasing local designers’ profile on their home turf as well. The massive space is a maze of stalls run by well-known and up-and-coming labels that span fashion, accessories, homewares and more – think of it as an essential one-stop souvenir shopping pit stop for visitors.
