From new resorts to immersive experiences and an adults-only escape, Paradisus by Meliá offer enticing new ways to elevate your seaside getaway this summer

Sponsored by

Summer has arrived, the sea is calling, and this year’s beach break is shaping up to be better than ever. Paradisus by Meliá, the luxury Destination-Inclusive® resort brand by Meliá Hotels International, has recently introduced a host of exciting new experiences and brand new resorts in alluring seaside destinations, all designed to take your next getaway to the highest level.

The New Perks: Family Concierge Relaunches at Paradisus by Meliá

Family Concierge is available across family-friendly Paradisus by Meliá locations and provides exclusive enclaves filled with personalized indulgences and elevated perks ideal for groups and jetsetting families. From dedicated play areas for the resort’s youngest guests to superior room amenities and the signature Destination Inclusive® activities, every little detail is designed to be entirely customized to families and groups of all sizes.

Guests checking into Family Concierge will receive a private VIP check-in and check-out area, with complimentary light bites to enjoy. These areas serve as sanctuaries for families and groups to gather and make new memories. Family Concierge also provides guests with elevated suite offerings through a series of exclusive services and perks including premium room categories, turndown service, a premium minibar, a personal destination concierge, priority dinner reservations and much more. Each morning, families can also enjoy breakfast in an exclusive restaurant, only accessible to Family Concierge guests.

The New Escape: Paradisus Los Cabos

As of this year, Paradisus Los Cabos has joined Paradisus La Perla and Paradisus Salinas Lanzarote as the brand’s third adults-only property. The five-star resort and member of Leading Hotels of the World has completed its transition to a more adult-focused experience and ambience, while also unveiling newly revamped suites in The Reserve – an elite room category that grants guests access to exclusive areas, such as private pools, lounges and secluded sections of the beach.

The New Look: Paradisus La Perla

Meanwhile, on the Mayan Riviera, adults-only resort Paradisus La Perla in Playa del Carmen has been busy putting on a fresh face. Alongside revamped digs for various dining venues, including South Avenue Bar, Twelvet, Nespresso Corner and Blue Agave Restaurant, the property has also debuted 49 newly renovated suites in The Reserve, where authentic, Mayan-inspired design is complemented by pampering amenities from Biology, as well as local Mexican products.

The New Flavour: The Epicure

A major draw for guests seeking to expand their culinary horizons, The Epicure programme invites top chefs from the US, Mexico, Spain and the Dominican Republic to preside over one-of-a-kind interactive classes and activities at Paradisus properties. Past iterations have seen the likes of Mexican chef Josephina Lopez and Michelin-anointed Spanish chef German Ortega showcasing their techniques and giving guests pointers on how to achieve the most elevated version of a local dish. This summer, from 18-19 July, Paradisus Los Cabos will play host to Chef Cesar Castañeda Martinez; stay tuned for further dates to come.

The New Experience: Destination Inclusive®

As the brand continues to elevate and reinvent the all-inclusive vacation, Paradisus by Meliá’s has launched new Destination Inclusive® experiences in Cancun, Punta Cana and the Canary Islands connecting guests more than ever to the local communities. Launched in 2023, Destination Inclusive® is a unique program where guests of upgraded suite offerings (The Reserve and Family Concierge) can experience off-property experiences curated by local experts and designed to connect guests with nature and the beautiful surroundings of each resort location, all included in the nightly rate.

When staying at Paradisus Cancun, guests set sail on a beautiful sunset cruise in the Nichupté lagoon, a true natural paradise encompassing a large area of natural reserve for the mangrove ecosystem that is filled with different animals to spot. At Paradisus Grand Cana in Punta Cana, guests can get their adrenaline pumping with a trip to a nearby water adventure park, Caribbean Lake Park, and spend the day wakeboarding, knee boarding, water skiing, ziplining above the lake, or bouncing around on lake inflatables. As part of their stay at Paradisus Gran Canaria, guests will have the opportunity to visit Hacienda La Rekompensa, a 600,000 square foot farm featuring more than 7,000 banana plants of 25 different varieties in the Canary Islands. Within the farm sits a historic Hacienda dating back to 1804 that has since been fully restored, faithful to its original architecture. While there, guests will be able to learn about the history of bananas in the Canary Islands, while they taste a selection of local artisanal banana products including jams, sweets, and even Banana Wine. The museum also features cosmetic lines made from local fruits found on the farm. Paradisus Gran Canaria guests can also opt in to visit the San Juan winery, which dates back five generations. During this visit, guests have an exclusive guided tour of the winery, cellar and the Finca El Mocanal - Bodega San Juan museum to learn more about wine tourism in the Canary Islands.
