The Magic of Monaco

A destination like no other, the Principality offers a wealth of experiences to enjoy

Sponsored by

Deep in the south of France, close to attractive cities like Nice and Cannes, lies the grand, exciting Principality of Monaco. A fascinating city-state on the Côte D‘Azur with a refreshing Mediterranean climate, it is best known for its famous residents, but offers spectacular experiences and sights for everyone. Whether cultural, adventure-oriented or culinary – there is something for every taste. A traveller here will feel like a VIP in the shadow of the luxurious surroundings. Breathtaking buildings, nature and people are among the many known and unknown treasures of Monaco. Just walking around the beautiful districts, you can discover and experience many new things. Among them will be unforgettable moments that show why everyone should see the Principality “live” and up close at least once in their lives.

Art, music and glamour — Monaco's Festival Year 2023

Life in Monaco is one long festival from January to December. Around the clock, 12 months a year, Monaco’s festival attractions offer excellent entertainment and experiences for culture enthusiasts. Every enthusiast’s passion can be satisfied – whether it's circus arts at the Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo, the Printemps des Arts Festival, a major musical event at various locations otherwise closed to the public, with musicians from all over the world, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival with international stars from film and TV, or the Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival, which traditionally takes place at the end of the year and puts both legendary and up-and-coming musicians in the spotlight. Variety is guaranteed.

Monet in all his glory

Crucial to the life and career of famed artist Claude Monet, the Principality of Monaco is the inspiration and motif for a number of his works. In honour of the 140th anniversary of Monet’s first stay in Monaco, the Grimaldi Forum is dedicating its 2023 summer season entirely to the iconic Impressionist. Around 100 paintings by the formative painter will be on display.

The best view - roof terrace with style

Monaco is also known for its extravagant and sumptuous establishments. The best way to enjoy the Principality is with a drink and elegant company at one of the legendary rooftop bars. Some of them are located in world-famous hotels. Breathtaking panoramic views and exquisite food, whether in the midday sun or in the evening at a romantic dinner under the night sky - the starred kitchens of the resident hotels invite guests to enjoy a first-class treat.

The Michelin stars shine

For its size, Monaco has an impressive number of gourmet restaurants. Many of them have already been awarded Michelin stars and guarantee overwhelming taste experiences in a chic ambience. Monaco not only offers restaurants with French cuisine, but is also colourfully represented on an international culinary level. Of course, special attention is paid to the quality of the products here, which also fits perfectly with the Principality’s sustainability strategy.

A wine cellar of superlatives

Built in 1874, the wine cellar of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo is the largest of its kind in the world and houses treasures that will make any wine connoisseur go into raptures. A sommelier guides guests through the cellar, tells them about the incredible history of this place and then lets them taste some famous wines. If you are interested, the wine cellar, which stores around 350,000 bottles of wine from all over the world, can even be booked for events. A wine tasting at the place where Prince Rainier and Princess Grace celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary promises unforgettable memories and extraordinary experiences.
