Frantzén
The Michelin-starred chef’s flagship is back – and intimate yet spacious
Bjorn Frantzén’s flagship restaurant is back – and it’s undergone a metamorphosis. Now in downtown Stockholm, the Joyn Studio-designed wood-toned eatery has a real feeling of intimacy, but it is spacious too. Frantzén (the venue) is five times bigger than its former location, but the two-Michelin-starred chef decided to retain the same number of seats – 23. Those positions curve around another change – this one the focal point – of the open fire, on which diners can view the menu being prepared: green king crab with sea urchins and homemade hot sauce, and Swedish duck cooked barbecue-style are the standouts. So get ready for the full gastronomic experience, which could conclude in the sumptuous lounge area (another welcome extension).
