Pérez Art Museum Miami
Revamped Miami Art Museum that spearheaded rejuvenation of the city’s prime exhibition spot
The makeover of Museum Park on Biscayne Bay is finally starting to show results. Just in time for the 2013 edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, the Miami Art Museum was relocated and reborn as Pérez Art Museum Miami. Named after a wealthy benefactor, it is an indoor-outdoor edifice created by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Herzog & de Meuron that takes advantage of the vast amount of home-grown talent by commissioning and exhibiting works from local artists and designers.
